BEd Vs BTC DElEd: 4.43 lakh certificates of Primary TET also stuck, waiting for HC order

On the other hand, there has been no teacher recruitment in the council primary schools of Uttar Pradesh for five years, while on the other hand, 4.43 lakh certificates of Primary Level Teacher Eligibility Test (UP-TET) 2021 are also entangled in legal complications. Amidst all this, the unemployed are also so frustrated that neither is there any movement nor is there any enthusiasm among the candidates regarding the TET certificate.

On August 11, the Supreme Court had rejected the notification of June 28, 2018 of the National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) regarding recognizing B.Ed in teacher recruitment for classes one to five. After this, the successful candidates in TET 2021 were hopeful of getting the certificate. But in this case, due to non-disposal of the petition filed by the D.El.Ed trainees in the High Court, the primary level certificates have been stopped.

After the decision of the Supreme Court, the examination regulatory authority office, Ellenganj, has sent the certificates of 2.16 lakh candidates successful in the upper primary level TET to the District Education and Training Institutes (DIET) for distribution. But due to the case being pending in the High Court, no decision has been taken regarding the certificates of 4.43 lakh candidates successful in the primary level TET, nor has the DIETs been sent. Not only this, the unemployed people who were protesting on small issues are also sitting silent regarding the certificate even after one and a quarter year of the declaration of UP-TET result on April 8, 2022. Prayagraj’s DIET Principal Rajendra Pratap said that 18798 certificates of upper primary level have been received for distribution.

Those with D.El.Ed passed more than B.Ed.

The result of UP-TET 2021, held on 23 January 2022, was declared after about two and a half months on 8 April 2022. In this, D.El.Ed candidates were more successful than B.Ed. 220065 B.Ed and 223533 D.El.Ed candidates were successful in primary level TET. 4,43,598 passed the primary level examination while 2,16,994 passed the upper primary level TET, totaling 6,60,592 lakh candidates.
