Army Agniveer Bharti: There is good news for youths who are forced to find private jobs like fitter, mechanic, motor mechanic after passing ITI. After 10th-12th, youths who complete one year, two year course from ITI of Uttarakhand will become Agniveer. They will also get weightage ranging from minimum 20 to maximum 50 marks during recruitment. The Directorate of Skill Development and Employment has fixed the bonus marks for becoming Agniveer in the technical category of the Army. According to the notification issued by the army, the application process for the recruitment of Agniveers under the Agneepath scheme started from February 15. Army Recruitment Office (ARO) Almora, Pithoragarh and Lansdowne had released the notification for the recruitment. These days the youth are busy preparing for the recruitment. Here, now ITI pass youths are also being motivated for Agniveer recruitment. These youths will be given a chance on technical posts in the army. Under the Agneepath scheme, for recruitment to technical posts in the army, it is necessary to pass class 12 with science (PCM) or ITI after 10th or any technical diploma course of two / three years. Bonus marks have been fixed for ITI pass youth in Uttarakhand on these posts. According to the information, in the past, the Directorate General of Training (DGT) had also corresponded with the senior officers of the army regarding providing bonus marks in army recruitment to ITI pass youth. According to the information received from the Directorate of Training, Haldwani, every year at least 8 thousand youths take admission in about 97 ITIs of the state.

30 marks – 12th pass and one year ITI passed
40 marks – 12th pass and two year ITI pass
50 marks – 12th pass and Diploma holder
As per orders received from the government, bonus marks are to be given to ITI pass youths for recruitment in technical posts under Agneepath scheme. Bonus points have been decided.
