Agnipath: The center has not backed down despite the protests .. Firefighters recruitment announcement released

Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhary has taken a key decision amid nationwide protests over the Agnipath scheme. It has been revealed that the recruitment process of firefighters in the Air Force will start from June 24. Army Chief Manoj Pandey has already said that the recruitment process for the Agnipath scheme will be released soon. People between the ages of 17.5 and 21 can apply. Agneepath said it had raised the maximum age limit for first recruitment to 23 years as it had not taken up military recruitment due to the corona for the past two years. It was made clear that it would be beneficial for the youth. Firefighting recruitment in the Army also looks set to begin soon. Army Chief General Manoj Pandey said a notification would be issued in two days.

However, there are concerns over the Agneepath scheme across the country. There are large-scale concerns that the recruitment process will continue in the old fashioned way. Unemployment protests in many places have turned violent. Several trains were set on fire at Secunderabad railway stations in Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana. Some trains were completely canceled while others were suspended. About 35 trains were canceled while another 13 trains were suspended. The Secunderabad railway station was in a state of chaos as the youths suddenly became anxious. The agitators demanded that the firefight be canceled and the recruitment process resumed as usual.
