Public-friendly administration in Jammu and Kashmir is the first priority of the Central Government: Union Minister Balyan

Jammu, Oct 13 (PTI) Union Minister Sanjeev Kumar Balyan on Wednesday said that people-friendly administration in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is the first priority of the Union Government.

The Minister for Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying was addressing a function at the conclusion of a two-day visit to Samba district. He had come here under the Central Government’s program to reach out to the people.

On the second day of his visit, the Minister inaugurated Primary Health Center (PHC) at Uttarbeni, interacted with sheep and goat farmers, several prominent people and distributed fish seeds to the people in the district under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme, an official spokesman said.

He said that a two-storey building has been constructed for the primary health center in Uttarbahani, for which a cost of Rs.6 crore has been spent. This will greatly benefit the local people.

The minister directed the district administration of Samba to resolve the local problems expeditiously and send documents to the minister’s office on issues requiring intervention of the central government.

Balyan said, “With the goal of bringing good governance from door to door, public friendly administration is the first priority of the central government.”

After reaching Samba, Balyan went to the village Barota on the zero line in Ramgarh and the remote hill village of Goran. He assured the people that mobile clinics for cattle would be started in each block.

The minister announced special schemes for the fisheries and dairy departments.
