J&K: Approved the proposal to give 15 percent reservation to women in non-gazetted police posts

Jammu, Jan 24 (PTI) Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Monday approved a proposal to provide 15 per cent reservation to women in non-gazetted posts in the police force.

Sinha announced reservation on the occasion of National Girl Child Day. ‘This is just the beginning,’ he said.

On National Girl Child Day, the Lt Governor tweeted, “Approved the proposal to provide 15 percent reservation to women in non-gazetted posts of J&K Police. We are committed to increase the reservation further in future.

In another tweet, Sinha said that his administration is committed to the social and economic empowerment of ‘Nari Shakti’.
