Srinagar, Jan 24 (Language) With 5,394 new cases of Kovid-19 being reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, the total number of infected people increased to 4,02,596, while eight more patients died due to infection during this period. The number reached 4,613. Health department officials gave this information.
According to officials, 2,045 new cases of infection were reported from Jammu region while 3,349 new cases were reported from Kashmir region. The maximum number of 1,204 new patients were confirmed in Jammu district, while 963 new cases were reported in Srinagar district.
The number of patients under treatment for Kovid-19 in the Union Territory has increased to 44,609, while so far 3,53,374 people have defeated the infection of this virus.
So far 51 cases of black fungus (mucormycosis) have been confirmed in Jammu and Kashmir.
