Sub-Inspector of Police Shiv Kumar Kanojia, arrested in connection with the death of Roopa Tirkey, in-charge of Sahebganj Mahila Police Station in Jharkhand, has been dismissed from service. At the same time, the CBI team probing this case on Thursday interrogated Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra for about three hours at the Circuit House in Sahebganj district.
To solve the mystery of Roopa Tirkey case, CBI team questioned Hemant Soren’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra for about 3 hours. After the death of Roopa Tirkey, her family members had made serious allegations against Pankaj Mishra, due to which the CBI summoned him to the new circuit house and called for answers on many important questions related to the case and noted the written statement.

It has been told that Pankaj Mishra was called for questioning at 11 in the morning, but he reached the circuit house already, avoiding the eyes of the media. However, he later told reporters that he had nothing to do with the matter, the opposition parties were conspiring to implicate him.
SI Shiv Kumar Kanojia dismissed from service
Here, Shiv Kumar Kanojia, Sub Inspector of Police posted in West Singhbhum district has been dismissed from service. In the death of Roopa Tirkey, she has been suspended earlier by the District Superintendent of Police Ajay Linda in this case. After the suspension, departmental action was conducted on him at Chaibasa, the district headquarters of West Singhbhum.
The in-charge of the station was considered guilty
During the conduct of departmental action, all the evidence was properly examined and after a thorough study it was found that she is guilty in the alleged suicide case of female police sub-inspector cum station in-charge Roopa Tirkey. His said attitude is a sign of tarnishing the image of the police, gross indiscipline, dereliction of duty, suspicious conduct, character inferiority. For this, a recommendation was made by the Superintendent of Police, Chaibasa, to the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Aseem Vikrant Minj, to sack the suspended police sub-inspector Shiv Kumar Kanojia from service.
Action taken after investigation
On this recommendation, all the allegations leveled against him by the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kolhan Area Chaibasa were investigated and all the cases were found to be true. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kolhan, Zone, Chaibasa, found him guilty for the serious charges leveled against the suspended Under Inspector of Police, Shiv Kumar Kanojia. Thereafter an order to dismiss him from service has been passed.
