Jharkhand: Wild elephant took the life of a 40-year-old youth, went to the field to cut paddy

In many areas of Jharkhand, elephants continue to be harassed. A 40-year-old laborer died after a wild elephant attacked him in Seraikela-Kharsawan district. The accident is of Bhadvagoda village under Kandra police station. A wild elephant killed 40-year-old Vibhishan Mahato on Saturday night in the area.

At the time of the accident, Vibhishan Mahato was on his farm to harvest paddy, where he encountered a wild elephant. When Vibhishana did not come to his house even after a long night, his family members started looking for him. The family found his dead body in the paddy field. The family members then informed the police.

The police and forest department team came and took the body in their possession and sent it for post-mortem. After this incident, panic has spread in the area. During this, the villagers also accused the forest department of negligence and demanded compensation.
