In the Birajpur Upgraded High School of Karmatand block area of Jamtara district in Jharkhand, the controversy over locking the school has increased on Friday. On the basis of the report of the school management committee on ignoring the calendar of government holidays on behalf of the district administration, any further action has been said. At the same time, BJP said that now efforts are being made to make separate arrangements in schools like Namaz halls in the Vidhan Sabha.
Jamtara Deputy Commissioner Faiz Ank Ahmed was contacted on phone in this regard and it was told that this matter is not in his notice. In this regard, only the District Education Superintendent will be able to clarify the whole situation. At the same time, after talking to Abhay Shankar, in-charge District Education Superintendent cum District Education Officer, he accepted that Birajpur Upgraded High School is not an Urdu school, so no order has been issued by the department to keep the school closed on Friday. He said that the list of government holidays issued by the state government in this regard has also been made available to the school committee.
Action will be taken on receipt of report from school committee
In-charge District Education Superintendent Abhay Shankar said that representatives of minorities had also come to meet him and all of them also believe that the attempt to close the school on Friday is wrong. He said that the department has sought a report from the school committee in this regard and only after receiving the report from the committee, necessary decision would be taken by the department on this issue.
The system should not be implemented in the school like the Namaz room in the Vidhan Sabha: BJP
Virendra Mandal, who contested on BJP ticket from Jamtara assembly election in the year 2019, says that Jharkhand Assembly Speaker Rabindra Nath Mahto comes from this district, urging him not to implement the system of assembly in Vidya’s temple. He said that the intention of appeasement of the state government by the arrangement of Namaz hall in the assembly has become public, but it should not happen in schools.
Villagers had locked the school
It is worth mentioning that on Friday last Friday in Birajpur Upgraded High School, the villagers had locked the teacher against the alleged arbitrariness. Villagers say that most of the children studying in this school come from minority community, so that the school should be closed on Fridays and open on Sundays. On the other hand, the teachers who came to open the school on Friday say that according to the official calendar, there is a holiday on Sunday, not on Friday.
