There has been a decrease in new cases of corona infection in Jharkhand, but the process of death of the infected does not seem to stop. On Monday also 11 corona infected died in the state. A 6-month-old child from Deoghar district was also among those killed. According to the Kovid-19 bulletin issued by the state health department, 1411 new infected were found on Monday across the state, while 3409 people became healthy. With this, the number of active patients has come down to 17457. Today, maximum 295 patients were found in Simdega, 250 in Ranchi and 204 in East Singhbhum district. 87 in Bokaro, 7 in Chatra, 56 in Deoghar, 11 in Dhanbad, 189 in Dumka, 13 in Garhwa, 1 in Giridih, 14 in Godda, 28 in Gumla, 28 in Hazaribagh, 1 in Jamtara, 11 in Khunti, Koderma 4, 17 in Latehar, 6 in Lohardaga, 77 in Pakur, 28 in Palamu, 13 in Ramgarh, 22 in Sahebganj, 20 in Seraikela and 29 in West Singhbhum were found infected. The recovery rate in the state has increased to 94.61 percent, which is higher than the national average of 93.10 percent, while the death rate is 1.24 percent, which is also higher than the national average of 1.20 percent.

There has been a stir in the district after the death of a six-month-old child suffering from Kovid amid ever-increasing cases of community transmission of new variant Omicron of Kovid.
