Weather Forecast India: The hottest day was recorded in the capital Delhi on Wednesday (February 15), so on Friday (March 17) the weather has taken a turn due to light rain in the capital. Today (March 18) the weather has remained mildly cold even in the morning. Due to the pre-monsoon rains, a slight drop in the temperature has also been recorded. Not only in Delhi, but in many other cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru, the rain has also brought relief to the people from the heat.
It rained in many parts of the capital Hyderabad. According to the report of the Telangana State Development Planning Society, 17.7 mm of rain was recorded in Rajendranagar and Chandrayangutta areas. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicts that the drizzling is expected to continue till next week and there may be some respite from the scorching heat as well as reducing pollution levels.
Rain alert in Delhi and other states
The weather is expected to remain pleasant for a few days in the capital. The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain with thunder, lightning and strong winds from 18 to 20 March. While orange and yellow alerts have been issued for the surrounding states of Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh for a few days. Capital Delhi will have generally cloudy sky with light rain during the day.
People upset due to rain in Hyderabad
Even though the rain brought respite from the heat, people faced a lot of problems for movement in many parts of Hyderabad city like Khairatabad, Punjagutta, Begumpet and Hitech City. In other parts of the city, in Vikarabad, Rangareddy and Sangareddy districts, the hailstorm continued for about half an hour, covering the road with pearl-like sheets and snarling the traffic.
Meteorological department alerted
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the process of rain is going to continue in Telangana and Hyderabad for the next few days. Scattered to heavy rains are expected in Telangana on Saturday and Sunday (March 18-19). The Meteorological Department has asked people to be careful of lightning, thunderstorms and strong winds. It is estimated that winds will blow at a speed of 30-40 kmph.
