10 dollar fee for Indians

Elon Musk announced that Twitter will charge $8 for Blue Teak. It was also said that this fee will change according to the currency of different countries. Indians will be charged $8 per month for Blue Teak and a total of $10 including GST. 10 dollars is 819 Indian rupees. But the value of 10 dollars is not based on this, but according to Purchasing Power Parity.

What is Purchasing Power Parity? (PPP – Purchasing Power Parity)

According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), purchasing power parity is the rate at which one country’s currency can be converted into another country’s currency to buy the same amount of goods and services. According to OECD (Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development), the rate is determined according to purchasing power parity currency conversion. By this the purchase of different currencies is made uniform. This conversion does not include price differences between different countries.

Indians charge Rs 231 per month for Blue Tick

According to purchasing power parity, the value of 1 dollar is not 81.98 rupees. According to Purchasing Power Parity, different currencies are bought equally. In this way, according to India’s Purchasing Power Parity, 8 Dollars for Twitter’s Blue Tick does not equal 660 Rupees (8 Dollar – 185.11 INR PPP). 185 is charged for Blue Tick. Indians will have to pay a fee of 10 dollars that is 231 rupees per month ( 10 Dollar – 231.38 INR PPP ).
