The case filed by the Mumbai Police in the case of Mohan Delkar’s suicide has been canceled by the High Court

MP Mohan Delkar suicide case:   The case filed by the Mumbai Police in connection with the suicide of MP Mohan Delkar of Dadra Nagar Haveli has been canceled by the High Court. NCP leader  Praful Patel along with 9 senior government officials have got a big relief from Bombay High Court. Collector of Sivasa Sandeep Kumar Singh was also made an accused in this case. Mohan Delkar committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan on February 22 at Hotel Sea Green at Marine Drive. Mumbai Police had registered a case in that regard. This case has been quashed by the High Court.

Also, in the suicide note written in Gujarati language, it was written that the political leaders, administrative officers and some police officers were being subjected to constant mental torture. The names of some persons were also written in that note.  

Who was Mahan Delkar? –
58-year-old Mohan Delkar was an MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli Lok Sabha constituency since 1989. He was elected as MP from Dadra and Nagar Haveli as many as 7 times. He joined the Congress party in 2009. But in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he left the Congress party and entered the fray as an independent candidate and won again with huge votes.
