Terrorist attack on America’s World Trade Center, death of thousands of people, September 11 is witness to ‘these’ events

Mumbai : Today is considered a black day in the history of America. Because on this day, 11 September 2001, a terrorist attack took place in America. This  terrorist attack shook America. Because as many as 2996 people were killed in this attack. That is why  September 11, 2001 was recorded as a black day in the history of America.  On this day, 19 al-Qaeda terrorists hijacked four airliners and crashed two of them into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. In this, thousands of people died in the building, including the people on the plane. Islamic militant group Al Qaeda carried out these horrific attacks from Afghanistan. Along with this, September 11 has witnessed many things in history.  On this day i.e. 11th September 1665, Burki village near Lahore was captured by the Indian army. Moreover, during World War II, the Royal Air Force bombed the city of Darmstadt, killing as many as 11,500 civilians. strong>

Based on the principles of non-cooperation and non-violence, Satyagraha was first used by Mahatma Gandhi in South Africa to win civil rights for Indians there. In 1906, the Transvaal government in South Africa promulgated a new law. According to this act every Indian there was obliged to register himself. In a meeting called to oppose this, on 11 September, Mahatma Gandhi first endorsed the method of satyagraha or non-violent action. He asked the Indian brothers to oppose the Act in a non-violent manner and to bear the atrocities while doing so. On this day he used the word Satyagraha for the first time. 

1942 : Azad Hind Sena sang Jan Gana Mana as national anthem 

Rashtra Geet is the song of the nation. This song expresses the love and respect we feel towards our nation. Every country has its own national anthem. The great poet and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore composed this national anthem. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose translated the song into Hindi and his Azad Hind Sena soldiers used to sing it. Azad Hind Sena sang Jan Gana Man as national anthem on 11 September 1942. 

1944 : Royal Air Force bombed the city of Darmstadt during World War II, killing 11,500 civilians 
 
The Indian Air Force is the newest branch of the Indian Armed Forces, established on 8 October 1932 as the British Royal Air Force. It was then known as the Royal Indian Air Force. After independence, the term Royal was dropped and the term Indian Air Force was adopted. The Royal Air Force played an important role in World War II. 11,500 civilians were killed in the bombing of Darmstadt by the Royal Air Force during World War II. 

1965 : Indian forces capture the village of Burki near Lahore.

On August 5, 1965, 33 thousand Pakistani soldiers disguised themselves and entered the Kashmir Valley. Then on August 15, 1965, India crossed the Line of Control and attacked Pakistan. Brave soldiers of India captured Hajipir pass 8 km from Pakistan. Pakistan used to get infiltrators from here. India captured Kargil. Within 15 days, Pakistan’s Operation Gibraltar had failed and their hopes of conquering Kashmir were dashed. But then, on 1 September 1965, Pakistan launched Operation Grand Slam. Pakistan felt that the Indian Army could not compete with modern weapons, tanks and ammunition and Pakistan could capture Akhnoor. Pakistan’s heavy attack on Akhnoor took the Indian government by surprise. The then Prime Minister of India Lal Bahadur Shastri called Air Marshal Arjun Singh to his house and asked him how soon we can launch an air attack on Pakistan. Arjun Singh promptly replied within fifteen minutes. At the same time heavy airstrikes were carried out in  Chhamb. These attacks again shattered the intentions of the Pakistani army.

On the other hand, on 6 September 1965, India launched a heavy attack across the international border of Punjab and Rajasthan. The Indian army under the command of Major General Niranjan Prasad reached the Ichhogil Canal. Pakistan could not even imagine that India would attack from the international border. Seeing Lahore as a threat, Pakistan diverted the bulk of its forces to Punjab. Due to this, their pressure in Kashmir started to decrease. By then the Indian Army had captured Batapur, Barki. 

1997 : NASA’s Mars Global Surveyor spacecraft reached Mars.

Mars Global Surveyor (MGS) by NASA ) spacecraft was launched in 1996. The mission of the spacecraft is to monitor long-term trends in the Martian atmosphere and to support future Mars missions, including collecting data on geologically important areas on the surface. The spacecraft reached Mars on September 11, 1997. 

2001 : Terrorists rammed two airliners into the World Trade Center buildings, killing thousands of people
