Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech in Chicago and Yuvraj Singh’s six sixes, this happened today in history.

Swami Vivekananda, who introduced Indian culture and spirituality to the world by saying ‘My American Brothers and Sisters’, gave his famous speech in Chicago on this day. Ram Das, the fourth Guru of Sikhs who built the city of Amritsar, passed away today. This day is also important in terms of cricket and in the year 2007, Yuvraj Singh hit the record of hitting six sixes in six balls against England. 1581 Fourth Sikh Guru Ram Das passed away 

The fourth Sikh Guru Ram Das passed away on this day, in the year 1581. Guru Ram Das built the city of Ramsar when many cities in Punjab were razed to the ground due to foreign invasions. This city is today known as Amritsar, the holy city of Sikhs. 

1803 Defeat of the Marathas in the Second Anglo-Maratha War 

In the second Anglo-Maratha War fought between the British and the Marathas, the Marathas fought here. Defeated. Sir Arthur Wellesley led the British army in this war. After this war, the British captured Delhi, and a large part of India went to the hands of the British. 

1893 Swami Vivekananda’s Historic Speech in Chicago 

Swami Vivekananda gave a speech on this day in 1893 in Chicago, USA. He spoke in a full house of religion. After Vivekananda began his speech with ‘My American Brothers and Sisters’, applause started in the hall. Swami Vivekananda did the work of introducing Indian spirituality and culture to the world. It was announced on September 19, 1893.

2008- Batla House Clash in Delhi 

The famous Batla House Clash in India took place on this day in 2008. After receiving information that some terrorists of the Indian Mujahideen organization are hiding in Batla House in Delhi, the Delhi Police took action and killed two terrorists. A brave officer of Delhi Police, Mohan Chand Sharma, was martyred while doing this action.
