1. on legalizing same-sex marriage
Hearing is to be held in the Supreme Court today on the petitions demanding recognition of same-sex marriage. The central government has made its stand clear on this issue. In the affidavit on behalf of the government in the Supreme Court, it has been said to dismiss these petitions. The central government has refused to recognize same-sex marriage.
2. On whether Ram Rahim is real or fake
In the Supreme Court today there will be a hearing on the claim of real-fake of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim. Dera follower Dr. Mohit Insa has filed a writ in the Supreme Court. The hearing in this matter will be on March 13. The Center and the Haryana Government have been made parties to the petition.
3. Hearing on Saket Gokhale’s bail too
The bail plea of Trinamool Congress spokesperson Saket Gokhale will also be heard in the Supreme Court today. Saket Gokhale is accused of misappropriating the money received from crowd funding. It is alleged that Saket collected Rs 72 lakh from about 1700 people with the help of Our Democracy platform and used that money for personal use.
4. Removal of mosque from Allahabad High Court premises
In the matter of removal of Waqf Mosque in Allahabad High Court premises, there will be a hearing in the Supreme Court today itself. Recently, while fixing the date of hearing, the Supreme Court has said that the hearing of this case will not proceed on any ground this time.
