The Supreme Court had said that it cannot stay the decision of the Election Commission. Apart from this, the Supreme Court had issued a notice on Uddhav’s application against the decision of the Election Commission. The court sought response from the Shinde faction and the Election Commission within two weeks.

A bench of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice PS Narasimha and Justice JB Pardiwala issued notice but refused to stay the Election Commission’s decision to recognize the Shinde camp as the real Shiv Sena, saying it could not be done without hearing the other side. could.

The counsel for the Shinde camp told the bench that he would not issue any whip or initiate the process to disqualify the MLAs of the Thackeray faction in the meantime. The bench said, ‘Okay, notice is issued. File counter affidavit within two weeks.’
