Rama Navami 2023 Ruckus: On March 30, the day of Ram Navami, incidents of violence were witnessed in many places across the country. There was a huge uproar in Gujarat, Maharashtra and West Bengal on Ram Navami. There were incidents of violence and arson in many places. There is news of 22 people being injured during the violence across the country, while the police took action and arrested 54 people. However, now the situation is under control. 

There was heavy violence in Howrah, West Bengal. The miscreants torched the vehicles standing on the road, dozens of vehicles were burnt. To control the raging violence, the police lathi-charged and released tear gas shells. Police arrested 17 people during this period. It is alleged that during the Shobha Yatra on Ram Navami in Howrah, stones were pelted from the houses built on the roadside. It is also alleged that police personnel were present there when the disturbance was taking place, but no action was taken even after complaining.

On one hand the Shivpuri area of ​​Howrah was burning in the fire of violence, on the other hand pictures of violence were seen in some other streets of Shivpuri. In the incident of violence, all the roads near the vans were closed. No one is allowed to go around. The entire area is guarded by the police.

Stone pelting on procession in Gujarat
On the other hand, the situation worsened after stones were pelted on Ram Navami procession in Vadodara, Gujarat on Thursday afternoon. The whole area immersed in celebration suddenly turned into tension. Seeing the seriousness of the situation, the police came into action and started arresting the miscreants. The hold of the miscreants continued till late night and the police team continued combing. The police have so far detained 22 people and the flag march continued throughout the night.

Police is also monitoring through CCTV. Gun fire was also used in the entire area so that the miscreants hiding on the roofs of the houses could be nabbed. At present, more than 200 police personnel have been deployed in the entire area. A large number of women policemen are also included in this. DCP level officers have been deputed for monitoring.

Clash in Maharashtra’s Sambhajinagar
In Maharashtra’s Sambhajinagar too, two groups clashed and stones were pelted. After the nuisance, the police came on alert and monitored the Ram Navami Shobha Yatra with a drone. On the midnight of March 29, miscreants created a ruckus near the temple. During this, vehicles were vandalized and many vehicles were set on fire. Police vehicles were also set on fire. There was a ruckus in Sambhajinagar before the procession, but during the procession the situation remained under control due to the vigilance of the police.

Two groups came face to face in Mumbai, raised slogans of Shri Ram
There was a huge uproar in Malad area of ​​Mumbai. During the Ram Navami procession, two groups came face to face. To control the crowd, the policemen had to disperse the crowd. This uproar took place when on one side the Shobha Yatra was taking place and on the other side there was a huge crowd of people during the month of Ramzan. When both the groups came face to face, suddenly the enthusiasm started turning into anger. Seeing the crowd becoming uncontrollable, the police used mild force to disperse the people…which led to the crowd dispersing.

There was uproar in the Malwani area of ​​Malad for a long time. It is alleged that during this time some goods were also thrown on top of each other from both the sides. The BJP alleges that during this time people have also suffered a lot of injuries, due to which the BJP workers sat on a dharna outside the Malwani police station and the uproar continued till late night. BJP workers also shouted slogans outside the Malvani police station. Said- This insult of Shriram ji… will not tolerate, will not tolerate. 

Student organizations came face to face in Lucknow
There was uproar in Lucknow too where student organizations came face to face on Ram Navami and the ruckus continued till late night. Late evening (March 30) student organizations protested outside the VC residence. During this, ABVP workers raised slogans. Seeing the increasing ruckus, a large number of police personnel were deployed outside the VC office.

Actually the whole matter is related to the Shobha Yatra of Ram Navami. In Lucknow’s Babasaheb Bhimravi Ambedkar University, ABVP workers were taking out a Ram Navami procession, the DJ was playing and the procession was moving ahead. It is alleged that at around 4 pm some students associated with SFI created ruckus in the yatra and also tore the posters. Seeing the uproar, the police reached the spot and tried to pacify both the groups of the student organization, but the dispute escalated and finally the ABVP workers sat on a dharna demanding action against the students associated with SFI.

3 died due to electrocution in Ram Navami procession
A major accident took place during Ram Navami procession in Kota, Rajasthan. During the procession, 3 people died due to electrocution. Like other cities of the country, Ram Navami procession was being taken out with great pomp in Kota too. But during this procession a tragic accident took place. During the stunts of the akhada in the procession, a young man’s hand touched the wire of the high tension line and the current spread. 3 youths died on the spot. While 4 people suffered serious burns.

Indore temple accident update
So far 34 people have died in the Beleshwar temple accident in Indore while many people are injured. Here, more than 50 people fell into the well after a slab built on a stepwell fell. The army has also been called for the rescue operation, the rescue operation continued throughout the night. People have fallen into a well about 40 feet deep, due to which there is a lot of difficulty in the rescue operation. So the army had to be called for relief and rescue.

NDRF and SDRF teams along with about 75 army personnel were also involved in the rescue operation throughout the night, but the stepwell is very deep and there is water in it, due to which the rescue team had to stop the rescue work in between, the rescue team has removed most of the bodies from stepwell. But due to the possibility of some more people being inside till late night, the rescue operation continued. A compensation of Rs 5 lakh each has been announced for the families of those killed in the Indore accident.
