Ram Navami: Why the fire of communal violence flares up?

The incidents of violence that have taken place in various states of the country on the occasion of Ramnavami processions raise a question that every year on this occasion, is there a well-planned conspiracy behind vitiating the communal atmosphere? The question is also why the government of the concerned state and the local police-administration is not prepared beforehand to prevent such incidents and waits for the violence between the two communities to erupt? From Howrah to Vadodara and from Lucknow to Sambhaji Nagar, there has been stone pelting somewhere, then who is to be blamed for the communal tension created by miscreants by setting fire to somewhere. While doing politics on such incidents of violence, blaming each other has become a custom, but no state government is ready to accept its lapse for this, saying that this is a big example of its administrative failure.

A major incident of violence and arson took place in Howrah, West Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who has been on a dharna for two days in Kolkata due to the alleged neglect of the Centre, had given a big statement warning the miscreants in advance. That’s why the question arises that if they already had the apprehension of inciting violence, then why didn’t they make concrete arrangements to stop it. Along with the Chief Minister, she is also the Home Minister of the state, so she had a dual responsibility.

But the BJP hit back and blamed Mamata Banerjee entirely for the Howrah violence. Amit Malviya, the head of the party’s social media unit, wrote in his tweet, "Ignoring Hindu sentiments, Mamata Banerjee staged a sit-in on Ram Navami. Then warned Hindus to avoid Muslim areas because it was Ramzan, forgetting that Hindus were also fasting for Navratri. As the Home Minister of West Bengal, she is directly responsible for the Howrah violence."

Now the question arises that before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, is West Bengal also moving towards becoming a big laboratory of Hindutva? Political analysts more or less answer yes to this. Analysts say that in fact, on the pretext of Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti festivals, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Sangh had started the exercise of establishing a foothold in the state from the year 2014 itself. With every passing year Along with this, the nature of these events changed and the ground of these organizations also became stronger. It is obvious that the political benefit of this was to be given to the BJP, which it got. The biggest proof of this is the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, when BJP won all political Defying pundits’ predictions, it surprised everyone by winning 18 out of 42 seats. Experts believe that these events have played an important role in the great success of BJP. Since that success of BJP,  year after year, with the increase in the grandeur and events organized on this occasion, the color of politics has deepened on this festival.

Let us tell you that panchayat elections are going to be held soon in Bengal. Keeping these elections in mind, organizations like VHP and Hindu Jagran Manch have announced to take out large scale rallies and celebrate Ram Mahotsav this year as well. . The Sangh, VHP and its allied organizations have announced to organize a week-long Ram Mahotsav across the state from Ram Navami i.e. March 30 to Hanuman Jayanti (April 6) this year. will be held.

Now the honorable judges of our Supreme Court may keep reprimanding that hate speeches cannot be eradicated without separating religion from politics, but the bitter truth is that this alliance of both of them can never douse the fire of communal violence. Won’t even let it go out!
