Rajasthan Congress Crisis: Many MLAs of the Gehlot faction have rebelled amid discussions of changing the Chief Minister in Rajasthan. 82 MLAs supporting Gehlot have submitted their collective resignation to Speaker CP Joshi. Meanwhile, senior Congress leader KC Venugopal spoke to CM Ashok Gehlot and Mallikarjun Kharge on phone and asked the reason for the commotion.

CM Ashok Gehlot has described it as a move by MLAs. He told KC Venugopal that this is the sentiment of the MLAs. In fact, after the announcement of Ashok Gehlot to contest the election of the Congress President, the discussion of changing the Chief Minister started in Rajasthan because the Congress has the principle of ‘one person – one position’. In this regard, a meeting of the Congress legislative party was called at the Chief Minister’s residence in Jaipur today, which was canceled after the MLAs rebelled.

Rebellion in the name of Sachin Pilot< /strong>

For this meeting, the Congress made senior leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Ajay Maken observers and in charge. For this meeting, 25 MLAs including Mallikarjun Kharge, Ajay Maken, former Deputy CM Sachin Pilot had reached the Chief Minister’s residence. Before the meeting of the legislative party, a meeting of pro-Gahlot MLAs was held at the home of Chief Minister Gehlot and minister Shanti Dhariwal in the Rajasthan government. About 65 MLAs of Gehlot faction were present in this meeting. In this meeting, MLAs revolted in the name of Sachin Pilot.

Resignation of Gehlot Camp MLAs

The MLAs said that if Ashok If Gehlot becomes the Congress president and resigns from the post of Chief Minister, then the new Chief Minister should be made from among the 102 MLAs who stood with the Congress during the attempt to topple the Pilot government. The Gehlot camp revolted in the name of the pilot. After this, all the MLAs reached Speaker CP Joshi’s house from Dhariwal and submitted their collective resignation.
