Pilot vs Gehlot: If you want to become Congress president, you have to leave the post of Chief Minister, Gehlot told Pilot

Chandigarh: Former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot has made a big statement about the post of Congress President. The election for the post of Congress President is near and hence the name of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also come up among the possible candidates. Sachin Pilot has told the media that no person in the Congress can hold two positions.

His supporters have been demanding to make Sachin Pilot the Chief Minister of Rajasthan for a long time. If they do not do this, they have also hinted at rebelling in the party. Two years ago, Sachin Pilot had to leave the post of Deputy Chief Minister due to clashes. Sources in the Pilot faction say that the two-year wait is about to end when Sachin Pilot becomes the Chief Minister of the state. According to the party leaders, Pilot will soon be seen in Congress’ Bharat Joko padayatra with Rahul Gandhi.

If Rahul does not agree, Ashok Gehlot will contest the election!

Along with this, according to the information received from the Congress sources, Ashok Gehlot will make the last attempt to convince Rahul Gandhi for the election of the President, if Rahul does not agree, then Gehlot will submit the nomination. Sources also said that Gehlot has also set a condition that Sachin Pilot should not be made the Chief Minister if he becomes the President, but the Speaker of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly CP Joshi should be made the Chief Minister.

It is being told that in the past interim president of Congress Sonia Gandhi had asked Ashok Gehlot to contest the election but Gehlot refused saying that he would persuade Rahul Gandhi for this. According to sources, apart from Gehlot, Sonia Gandhi is in favor of making senior Dalit leader Sushil Kumar Shinde the party president while Rahul Gandhi is in support of senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge.
