Panipat Cough Syrup Raid: After the death of children with cough medicine, raid in Kundli, Health Minister spoke – the case is being investigated

Panipat Cough Syrup Raid  :  After the death of children in foreign countries due to cough medicine, there has been a commotion among the authorities. After WHO’s objection, a team of drug inspectors has started raiding a company in Kundli, Sonepat. One of the cough medicine exporting companies Madin Pharmaceuticals is located in Kundli, Sonepat. This is the third raid in a week. Five samples of drugs belonging to the drug manufacturing company have been sent for testing. has been installed A report has been sought from the concerned company on the qualification of chemists engaged in procurement of raw materials, manufacture and export of medicines. Along with this, the records of the company are being seized and investigated. The raid is being conducted by Drug Controller Manmohan Taneja, while the team is headed by DLO Rakesh Dahiya.

The matter is that WHO has declared four Indian medicines as deadly. These four medicines are related to cough in children. These four medicines are exported. Recently, in many countries, the condition of children has started to deteriorate due to the consumption of cough medicine. Many of these children had died. The death of 66 children is being reported in the African country Gambia alone. The complaint was made to the Government of India through WUHO.

There, Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij said that the matter is currently being investigated, the Center and Haryana Health Department. Teams are taking samples, now before action the samples have been sent to Central Lab, Kolkata, if any deficiency is found then strict action will be taken.
