Bageshwar Dham Sarkar: Before the court of Baba Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham in Mumbai, the Congress has opened a front against him. Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole CM Eknath Shinde requesting not to allow Dhirendra Shastri’s program in Mumbai. Dhirendra Shastri’s program is to be held for two days today (March 18) at Central Park, Mira Road, Mumbai.
In the letter Nana Patole has written, ‘Maharashtra is a progressive state and a person who spreads superstition has no place in the state.’
Allegations of insulting Saint Tukaram
Patole also accused Dhirendra Shastri of insulting Saint Tukaram in the letter. Patole wrote, "Dhirendra Shastri, head of Bageshwar Dham, has insulted Saint Tukaram Maharaj. Congress respects Hindus. BJP’s Hindu comes to the fore when his sins are about to come to the fore. Today farmers are committing suicide, they are Hindus. Why is BJP not saving them?"
Patole wrote in the letter that Dhirendra Shastri has played with the sentiments of millions of people by insulting Saint Tukaram. Allowing someone who insults Sant Tukaram to hold a program in Maharashtra is promoting superstition.
What did the MLA of the Shinde faction say?
Gita Jain has defended Shiv Sena’s Shinde faction MLA after the allegations against Dhirendra Shastri. In a video message, Geeta Jain said that Acharya Dhirendra Shastri had apologized for his statement on Saint Tukaram. That’s why this matter should end here. Citing the example of Saint Tukaram, the MLA said that when the people of his village used to call him mad, Saint Tukaram also forgave him.
