Various state transport ministers participate in transport development conference 

The 41st Transport Development Conference was attended by Transport Ministers from Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Goa, Karnataka, Delhi and Tamil Nadu. He appreciated the  activities undertaken by the Ministry regarding road construction, public transport, adoption of technology, road safety and road transport development. He praised Gadkari for bringing the Motor  Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019 and its speedy implementation. Meanwhile, Nitin Gadkari also said that it is important for the central and state governments to work together to transform the transport sector to become a five trillion dollar economy in the next five years. He also informed about the various initiatives undertaken by the concerned states and union territories to  improve the quality of road transport, road safety and supporting transport infrastructure.
