New Rule For Online Gaming: Betting and betting online games banned, government issued new rules

Online Gaming Rules In India: The government has banned any game related to betting and betting while issuing new rules related to online gaming on Thursday (April 6). Along with this, Minister of State for Information Technology Rajeev Chandrasekhar also released a draft of Self-Regulatory Organizations (SRO). Chandrasekhar even told the media in Delhi that several SROs related to online gaming activities would be formed in which representatives of all stakeholders would be involved. However, it will not be only representatives of the industry.

Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar further said this

He said, ‘‘We are setting up a framework that will decide which online games can be allowed by the SRO. There will also be a number of SROs.’’ The decision to approve an online game will be made keeping in mind that the game does not involve betting or betting in any way. If the SRO detects that a bet is being placed on an online game, it will not approve it.
