Madrasa: ‘I intend to close all madrasas’, Himanta Biswa Sarma said – Bangladeshis are becoming a threat to culture

Himanta Biswa Sarma: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has once again reiterated his promise to close madrassas. He said that people want to study in schools and colleges. In the BJP’s Vijay Sankalp Yatra in Belagavi, the election state of Karnataka, he said that “I have closed 600 madrassas and I will try to close all madrassas, because we do not want madrassas.” We want schools, colleges and universities.

In 2020, CM Himanta Biswa Sarma brought a law in Assam and converted all the madrassas run by the state government into schools. According to the figures of January 2023, there are 3000 registered and unregistered madrassas in Assam. Regarding illegal immigrants, he claimed that Bangladeshi people come to Assam and become a threat to the culture and civilization.

Congress is the new Mogul- Assam CM

Himanta Biswa Sarma, while targeting the Congress and the Left parties, accused them of spoiling the country’s history with Mughal-backed narratives. He said that the Congress and the Left showed the history of India in the form of Babur, Aurangzeb and Shahjahan. I want to tell you that the history of India is not about them (Mughals) but about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Guru Gobind Singh, Swami Vivekananda.

‘This is New India’

Sarma further said that there was a time when the people sitting in power in Delhi used to talk about the demolition of temples, but during the reign of PM Modi, we talk about the construction of temples. This is New India. Congress is working to weaken New India. Congress has now become the new Mogul.

He said that many people in India say with pride that they are Muslims and Christians. He said that I have no problem with this, but we need a person who can proudly say that I am a Hindu. India needs such a person.
