Kerala Mother And Son Suicide Case: A 38-year-old woman and her 7-year-old son committed suicide on Thursday (March 16) at Kaithapathal in Upputhara, Idukki district of Kerala. According to the information, she was very sad after the death of her 28-day-old child. Despair engulfed him so much that he jumped into the well along with his elder son.
Family members went to church
38-year-old Lisa and her elder son Ben Tom, residents of Kaithapathal, jumped into the well in the premises of their house on Thursday morning. According to local sources, the incident took place around 6 am when other family members had gone to church. Lisa and Ben were alone at home. Two days ago, Lisa’s 28-day-old newborn child had died of suffocation after drinking her milk. The last rites of the dead child were performed on Wednesday (March 15).

Lisa was very sad after this incident. When Lisa’s family returned from church on Thursday morning, mother and son were missing from the house. Later, after much searching, the bodies of both were found in a well near the house. After getting the news of this, fire brigade and rescue personnel reached the spot and took out the bodies of both of them from the well. The bodies have been handed over to the family after post-mortem.
