Pulwama Encounter: An encounter is taking place between terrorists and security forces in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir. The encounter between the two started in Mitrigam area of Pulwama at around 12 o’clock on Friday (March 17). According to officials, the encounter between the terrorists and the security forces is still going on.
Security forces had started a siege operation in Mitrigam area of Pulwama after receiving information about the presence of terrorists there. Jammu and Kashmir Police tweeted from Twitter account @JmuKmrPolice that encounter has started in Mitrigam area of Pulwama.

The terrorist who killed Sharma was killed
Earlier on February 28, a Kashmiri Pandit was killed by terrorists in Pulwama. The terrorists attacked just 100 meters from Sharma’s residence. Within 48 hours of the murder, the security forces killed the terrorist who killed Sharma. Sharing an update about the operation against the terrorists, the Jammu and Kashmir Police had said that one terrorist was killed in the encounter. According to the information received from the police, the slain terrorist was identified as Aqib Mushtaq Bhat. Apart from this, Aqib Mustaq Bhatt was working for the terrorist organization Hizbul Mujahideen and The Resistance Front TRF.
