Air India Flights On International Women’s Day: Air India has started operating 90 all-women crew flights to honor women power and their ability on International Women’s Day.

On International Women’s Day, Air India along with Air India Express and AirAsia India has saluted women power. Under this, 90 flights with completely women crew have been started. The all-women crew has been kept at 90 to mark the 90th anniversary of Bharat Ratna awardee JRD Tata’s first commercial airline.
The group is executing all-female crew operated flights on international and domestic routes from March 1, 2023. Apart from the cockpit and cabin crew, most of these flights will also have women dispatchers, safety and quality auditors, loaders, engineers, security.
Actually the theme of this year’s International Women’s Day is ‘Digital: Innovation and Technology for Gender Equality’. With this theme, Air India Group has tried to tell through All Women Crew Flights that there are countless examples which show that women have enriched the aviation sector by making important contributions. The group has also laid emphasis on women workforce in different areas of the airline.
More than 40 percent of the group are women
Air India said, "More than 40 per cent of Air India’s employees are women. Out of its 1825 pilots, 275 Women represent 15 per cent of the cockpit crew strength, making it the airline with the largest number of women pilots."
