The passenger was a citizen of Nigeria
According to the information received later, after the emergency landing in Karachi, the flight returned to Delhi with the deceased passenger. Sources said the landing was done to save the passenger, who was a Nigerian national. The pilot of the Indigo flight sought permission for an emergency landing due to a medical emergency, which was granted by the air traffic controller at the Karachi airport. The passenger has been identified as Abdullah (60), a citizen of Nigeria. However, he died before the flight landed. CAA and NIH doctors have issued the passenger’s death certificate.
