Indian Science Congress: ‘Indian Science Congress’ for the first time after 49 years in Nagpur; Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Nagpur News : For the first time since 1974, the Indian Science Congress has been organized in Santranagar i.e. Nagpur. Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University has got the host title of 108th Indian Science Congress. The conference will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which will be held in the university premises from January 3 to 7. Under the chairmanship of the Divisional Commissioner, a review was conducted regarding the planning of the conference. 

Earlier in 1974 in Nagpur (Nagpur) 61st Science Congress was held. Many eminent scientists and researchers of world and national level will be in Nagpur city during this period. Apart from this, major institutions which have done important research in the past will participate in the exhibition at this place. The inclusion of scientists from the country and abroad and the interaction of students who are progressing in science with them is also a feature of this meeting. The National Adolescent Science Conference is also held in this conference. For this, Kishore scientists will also stay in Nagpur. Department heads of Nagpur District Administration, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, Police Administration, Nagpur University and other major institutions were present in the meeting held today regarding the organization of this national level meeting. 

In the review meeting, Divisional Commissioner Vijayalakshmi Prasanna Bidari along with Vice Chancellor of Nagpur University S. R. Chaudhary, Collector Dr. Vipin Itankar, Municipal Commissioner Radhakrishnan B, Deputy Commissioner Asha Pathan, Pradeep Kulkarni Municipal Corporation Additional Commissioner Ram Joshi, Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Sudarshan, NIRI’s Chief Researcher Padma Rao, NIRI’s Science Secretary Dr. Rita Dodafkar, Municipal Engineer Waikar, Local Secretary of Science Council G. S. Khandekar, Rajesh Singh were present.
