Hearing on Article 370 case will be held after Dussehra-CJI

Supreme Court On Article 370: The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the Article 370 matter after the recess. Chief Justice NV Raman (Chief Justice NV Raman) said this while assuring the lawyer to demand an early hearing. Earlier in April, the Chief Justice had said about the hearing, ‘Let me see’. A bench of five judges will have to be constituted in this matter.

This matter is under consideration since 2019. The Supreme Court has been requested several times for an early hearing in this case. A bench of 5 judges has heard the petitions filed against the abolition of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir. Now the Supreme Court is ready to hear this matter.

What is the whole matter

< p>Actually, on August 5 last year, Parliament passed a resolution to abolish the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370. Along with this, it was decided to divide the state into two union territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. This has also been approved by the President.

After this, various petitions were filed in the Supreme Court to challenge the matter several times. The Supreme Court started hearing the case in December, but as soon as the hearing started, some parties demanded that the case be referred to a larger bench. The ongoing case is expected to be heard soon.
