Gujarat Election 2022: Voting on 89 seats in the first phase today, these are the VIP seats, on which the fate of many big leaders is at stake.

Gujarat Assembly Elections 2022: The first phase of voting is going to be held today (December 1) in 89 assembly seats of Gujarat. This time Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has also made the competition interesting by fielding its candidates in 181 assembly seats. Voting will be held in Gujarat on Thursday from 8 am to 6 pm. In the first phase, there are a total of 2 crore 39 lakh 76 thousand 670 voters in 89 assembly seats, who are going to cast their vote in this election. A total of 788 candidates from 39 political parties are in the fray for these 89 assembly seats. We are going to tell you about some important seats in the first phase.

1. Khomhalia Vidhan Sabha seat
Aam Aadmi Party’s chief ministerial candidate Issudan Gadhvi is contesting from this seat. This seat comes under Dwarka district. Congress had won this seat in the 2017 assembly elections. This time, the fate of AAP’s chief ministerial candidate Isudan Gadhvi is at stake. The discussion of this seat in the first phase of voting is in full swing. AIMIM has also fielded its candidate on this seat.
2. Bhavnagar rural assembly seat
BJP has once again expressed confidence in the current MLA and former minister Purushottam Solanki from Bhavnagar rural. They are the prominent leaders of the Koli community.

3. Jasdan Vidhan Sabha seat

Kunvarji Bawalia, who was a seven-time MLA from Jasdan seat in Rajkot district, has changed his party and joined the BJP. He was considered a senior Congress leader in Gujarat. In this seat, the Congress party has fielded Bholabhai Goyal against Bawalia. This seat comes under Rajkot district.

4. Morbi Vidhan Sabha seat
BJP has made Kantilal Amritia, the hero of the Morbi bridge accident, its candidate. Amrita has been MLA 5 times from this seat. Congress has made Jayanti Jerajbhai its candidate from this seat.

5. Porbandar Vidhan Sabha seat
BJP has made Babu Bokhiria its candidate from this seat. They belong to my community. He won the seat in 1995, 1998, 2012 and 2017. In 2002 and 2007 Bokhiriya was defeated by his arch rival and former Gujarat Congress president Arjun Modhwadia. Both are face to face this time too.
6. Jamnagar North Vidhan Sabha seat
BJP has made famous cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wife Rivaba Jadeja its candidate from this seat. Congress has made Manoj Kathiria its candidate from this seat. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Vishal Tyagi.
7. Amreli Assembly Seat
Congress has made Paresh Dhanani its candidate from this seat. In the year 2002, at a very young age, he defeated BJP’s Purushottam Rupala. After this he came to be known as ‘Giant Killer’. From this seat, BJP has made Kaushik Bhai Vekaria a candidate against them. While ‘self’ has made Ravi Dhanani its candidate.
8. Lathi Assembly Seat
This seat also comes under Amreli district. Congress party has made Virji Thamar its candidate from this seat. BJP has made Janakbhai Talaviya its candidate from this seat. On the other hand, Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Jaisukh Detroja from this seat. In 2017, Congress’s Virjibhai Thummar won from this seat.
9. Katargam Vidhan Sabha Seat
In the first phase of voting, this seat is also in a lot of discussion. Aam Aadmi Party has made Patidar leader Gopal Italia its candidate from this seat. Gopal Italia recently came into controversy by commenting on Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

10. Varcha Vidhan Sabha seat
This seat comes under Surat district. Aam Aadmi Party has fielded Alpesh Kathiria on this seat. He is considered to be very close to BJP leader Hardik Patel. On the other hand, BJP has given ticket to Kishore Bhai Kanani from this seat. Congress has made Prafulbhai Chhaganbhai Togaria its candidate from this seat. BJP won this seat in 2017 assembly elections.
11. Tala Assembly Seat
This assembly seat comes under Somnath district. A day after joining the BJP, Bhagwan Brar has been nominated by the party as its candidate from this assembly seat. Lord Barad is an influential leader of the Ahir community. He also won from Talala constituency in 2007 and 2017. In the 2017 assembly elections, the BJP could not open its account in the district as the Congress won all the four seats. Congress has made Man Singh Dodia its candidate from this seat. Aam Aadmi Party has made Devendra Solanki its candidate from this seat.
