Gujarat Election 2022: Election in two phases in Gujarat; Voting on December 1 and 5

Gujarat Election 2022: The Central Election Commission has announced the Gujarat Assembly Elections. Elections will be held in two phases in Gujarat and polling will be held on December 1 and 5. The counting of votes will be held on December 8. 4.9 crore voters will vote for the new government in Gujarat. Gujarat Legislative Assembly has 182 seats. Elections will be held on 89 seats in the first phase and 93 seats in the second phase. As it is the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, the country is paying attention to this election.

The Central Election Commission has announced the Gujarat Legislative Assembly elections by holding a press conference. The Central Election Commission informed that 50 percent polling stations will be telecasted live. There are 51,782 polling booths with an average of 948 voters per booth. 3.24 lakh voters will exercise their right to vote for the first time for the Gujarat assembly elections. Aadmi parties have a challenge. In the previous assembly elections held in 2017, the BJP was given a tough fight by the Congress. BJP’s strength was below 100. So, Congress won 80 seats. Political equations have changed in this year’s elections. Hardik Patel, the face of the Patidar movement, left the hand of the Congress and took up the lotus of the BJP. So, some Congress MLAs joined BJP. On the other hand, the strength of the Aam Aadmi Party in the urban areas of Gujarat was seen in the municipal and municipal elections. So this year’s election is going to be tough.
