‘First the corrupt people were scared on the public road today…’, PM Modi’s ‘played’ with the opposition by talking about corruption

PM Modi on Corruption: Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Narendra Modi) while talking on the issue of corruption targeted the opposition. He said that before 2014 there used to be headlines that there was a scam of so many lakh crore rupees in this sector, people came out on the streets against corruption. PM said, what is the headline today? Due to the action in the cases of corruption, the corrupt people got mobilized and took to the streets. 

On March 18, at the India Today Conclave, PM Modi said, ‘Earlier the media had collected a lot of TRPs by showing the news of scams. Today the media has an opportunity to increase TRP by showing action against the corrupt. Earlier there used to be headlines of bomb blasts in cities, there used to be headlines of Naxalite incidents. Today there are more news of peace and prosperity. Earlier scams used to make headlines, but now the news is being made that the ‘corrupt’ are joining hands to take action against them.’

‘Worked at different speeds and scales’

PM said that all the governments worked according to their capacity, we wanted new results and we worked at different speed and scale. Citizens now have faith that the government cares for them. Today the whole world is full of faith in India. Today India is the fastest growing economy. 

‘Today India’s economy is strong’

PM Modi said today, earlier there used to be news of stopping projects in the name of environment. Now what kind of news comes. Earlier there used to be news of Air India’s plight, now the biggest deal of planes becomes the headline. Amidst the global crisis, today India’s economy is strong, banking system is strong, this is the strength of our institutions.
