Bharat Jodo Yatra: Keeping in mind the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Congress has launched the ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’ has started The journey starts from Kanyakumari and ends in Kashmir after about 150 days. Congress has specially prepared 60 containers to accommodate the journey in which Congress leaders stay overnight. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is also staying in one of these boxes, but the BJP has accused the Congress of the facilities in the box. BJP says that modern facilities have been arranged in these coaches for the comfort of the leaders involved in the yatra convoy. Congress has given an explanation on this. The Congress said that the container meant for the overnight rest of the pilgrims had basic amenities but lies were being spread to defame it.

Rahul Gandhi’s T- Controversy over the shirt

As the journey progresses, so do the challenges for the Congress. BJP is targeting Congress at every turn. The container controversy was not even over when the BJP again targeted the Congress by sharing Rahul Gandhi’s photo. BJP has shared a photo of Rahul’s t-shirt stating the brand and price. The BJP alleged that the T-shirt cost Rs 41,257.

The BJP also mocked the Bharat Joko Yatra and wrote in a tweet, ‘Look at India’. Congress has also retaliated against this attack of BJP. In a tweet on behalf of the Congress, it was said, "Oh… are you nervous? Seeing the crowd gathered at the Bharat Joko Yatra. Talk about the issue, talk about unemployment and inflation. If you want to discuss, Modi ji’s 10 lakh suit and 1.5 lakh glasses will work, tell BJP? strong>

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi met controversial priest George Ponnaiah in Kanyakumari. A video clip of Rahul Gandhi’s conversation with a priest has gone viral, in which Rahul Gandhi can be heard asking, "Is Jesus Christ the embodiment of God? Is this true?" To which priest George Ponia replied, "He is the real God."
