New Delhi: The special court of Delhi has pronounced a new verdict regarding 15-year-old petrol-CNG vehicles. Now if people want to keep their old vehicles at home as a souvenir then they can do so. The court of Additional Sessions Judge Vrinda Kumari at Saket issued this order while disposing of a decade and a half old motorcycle case. >

Declaring its verdict, the court said that there is no need to scrap the 15 old petrol-CNG vehicles but to fulfill certain conditions to keep their vehicles as heritage. are due, which are fixed by law. The court has said that if a person wants to keep his old vehicle as a souvenir or heritage, he can do so by following the prescribed rules.

Decision of Metropolitan Magistrate

Actually, in the case in which the court has given this decision, it is about the motorcycle seized by the police. The police seized the 15-year-old motorcycle on charges of driving on the road and violating the law. The Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on December 17, 2021 ordered the police to pay the amount received to the vehicle owner after rejecting the motorcycle as per the National Green Tribunal (NGT) guidelines dated November 26, 2014. But the vehicle owner wanted to keep it at home as a legacy.

Action on parking in public place
Court In his order, said that if these vehicles are found parking on the road or in any public place, action will be taken against the owner of the vehicle under Section 177 of the Indian Penal Code. In this, a case will be registered against the vehicle owner for filing a false affidavit. There is a maximum imprisonment of three years on conviction.
