Delhi Excise Policy Case: CBI has arrested businessman Vijay Nair in the Delhi Excise Policy case. A CBI official gave this information on Tuesday. Vijay Nair is the former CEO of event management company Only Much Louder. is According to sources in news agency ANI, Vijay Nair was called to the CBI headquarters and arrested after questioning.

He has been arrested for conspiracy, ‘cartelisation’ and ‘selective licence’. . The CBI alleges that a bribe was taken from the owner of a liquor firm through Vijay Nair. The CBI had registered an FIR in the Delhi Excise Policy case, in which Vijay Nair, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 13 others were named.

‘AAP’ has issued a statement on the arrest of Vijay Nair by CBI. In which it was said that Vijay Nair ‘AAP’ are in charge of communications. He was responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, first in Punjab and now in Gujarat. They have nothing to do with excise policy. Surprisingly, he has been arrested by the CBI in an excise case. AAP’s Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha has tweeted this statement of the party.

Pressure created to name Manish Sisodia
< br />AAP further said that Vijay Nair had been called for questioning for the past few days and pressure was put on him to name Manish Sisodia. When he refused to do so, he was threatened with arrest. His house was raided twice in the last one month but nothing was found. This is part of the BJP’s efforts to crush AAP and hamper AAP’s Gujarat campaign.

Manish Sisodia’s house was raided 

It is worth noting that Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena had recommended a CBI probe into the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22, after which the FIR was registered. After this, the Delhi government announced to withdraw this policy. In connection with this matter, last month in August, the CBI raided Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia’s house in Delhi and 20 other places in several states.
