Delhi Liquor Policy Case: Summons have been issued against 4 accused in the supplementary charge sheet filed by the CBI in the alleged liquor scam of the Delhi government. The court has taken cognizance of the supplementary charge sheet filed against Manish Sisodia, Arjun Pandey, Buchi Babu and Amandeep Dhall. All four have been summoned for June 2. Amandeep Dhall and Sisodia are currently in jail, so a production warrant will be issued for their appearance. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was arrested on February 26 after several rounds of questioning in connection with alleged corruption in the Excise Policy.
Sisodia in judicial custody till June 2< /strong>
Sisodia is in judicial custody till June 2 in a CBI case related to the excise scam. The CBI had filed a supplementary charge sheet in the court on April 25. It contains names of four accused including Manish Sisodia. Earlier, the court reserved its decision in the matter of taking notice till May 27.
CBI has described Sisodia as the main mastermind of the scam in the charge sheet. In the case of both CBI and ED, Sisodia’s bail plea has already been rejected by the Rouse Avenue court. Both the cases are being heard in the court of Special CBI judge MK Nagpal.
