Delhi Murder Case: The Special Cell of Delhi Police on Friday (March 10) arrested the accused involved in the murder of a woman 19 years ago in Paschim Vihar area. The name of the accused is Narendra (64). In the year 2007, the court had declared Narendra an absconder in this murder case. Police claim that the woman who was killed by Narendra was the second wife of his friend.
Narendra was fascinated by her beauty and after reaching her house Narendra tried to force her. On protesting, Narendra strangled the woman to death with a dupatta. Presently Narendra was living in Panchkula, Haryana.
What is the whole matter?
Trying to escape again
He said that a murder case was registered in Paschim Vihar police station. The team of ACP Northern Range Ved Prakash of Special Cell got input that Narendra, the accused in the murder case, is absconding for 19 years. A charge sheet has also been filed against him in the court as an absconder. Information was received that Narendra is present in Panchkula, Haryana. On March 10, a police team caught Narendra from Panchkula. Although the accused also tried to trick the police and escape, but he could not succeed.
The accused knew the woman’s husband
Police say that the accused is originally from Krishna Nagar area of Delhi. He has studied only till seventh standard and used to work as a salesman. He is married. He has one son and two married daughters. Police claim that the accused knew the woman’s husband Gulshan since 1997, as his family also lived in Krishna Nagar area. After this his family shifted to Vishnu Garden.
Besotted by the beauty of Dosti’s wife
In the year 2004, the accused met Gulshan in Patel Nagar at a common friend’s wedding ceremony. There he came to know that Gulshan has got married for the second time. He was also introduced to Gulshan’s second wife Praveen. He was impressed by her beauty and started trying to get close to her. On the day of the murder, Narendra went to Praveen’s house in Paschim Vihar. He knocked on the door of the flat, on which the woman got her servant to open the door.

After this Praveen sent his employee to the market to get some goods. Seeing the opportunity from behind, Narendra started coercing the woman. The woman opposed him and threatened to complain. She started shouting, on this the accused strangled the woman with a scarf and killed her. After this the accused had absconded. When the servant returned home, he saw the dead body of the owner lying in the bedroom. The person who had come to meet him was also missing.
While absconding first went to Jammu, then to Punjab
Police has claimed that after the incident, the accused Narendra directly reached his rented house at Vishnu Garden and left for Jammu along with the family. From there he went to Ludhiana, Punjab and then later he settled somewhere else.
