According to a Delhi AIIMS study, when eye-related studies were conducted before the Corona era, myopia was found in 5 to 7 percent of children of the urban population. However, 50 percent of children may be unfit by 2050
AIIMS Rajendra Prasad Eye Hospital Chief Professor Jeevan S Tityal said that if children continue to use smart phones, computers, online games, digital screens in the same way, then by the year 2050, 50 percent of the country will It is very important to protect the eyes of children suffering from myopia.
 


What to do to keep eyes safe?

< br />In this regard, Dr. Jeevan Singh Tial said that training and instructions should be strictly followed in schools to prevent children from becoming weak. Children have to be kept away from digital screens. If it is very important, do not allow children more than 2 hours of screen time a day and take breaks during this time as well. If the child’s eyesight is getting weak then he must wear glasses. Get your eyes checked at least once a year.
