Car Accident in Delhi: A major road accident took place in Delhi on the night of Holi. 2 people died in this accident. According to reports, two people were killed and eight people, including children, were seriously injured when a speeding Thar car hit them in Malai Mandir area of New Delhi. The police gave this information on Wednesday.
According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Munna and Sameer. He died during treatment in the hospital, while other injured are still undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The Thar car overspeed
Delhi Police official said that during preliminary investigation, it was found that the driver of the Thar car was driving at high speed and suddenly lost control, due to which the accident took place. Police said that apart from hitting pedestrians, the Thar also hit two other vehicles.
Apart from vehicles, three vendor stalls were also damaged
The police officer said that "The injured people are being treated at the trauma center of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)." According to the police, the injured people are residents of Shiva Camp, Vasant Vihar and Ekta Vihar, RK Puram. Delhi Police said, "A Thar, two four wheelers and three vendor stalls were damaged in the accident."
Police registered a case and started investigation
Police told that on March 8 at 7:30 pm, a PCR call was received regarding this accident at Delhi’s Vasant Vihar Police Station. After this the police reached the spot and took further action. The injured were immediately taken to the hospital. In this case, the police said "A case is being registered under section 304A of the Indian Penal Code." Police is probing the entire matter and looking into other angles as well.
