JP Nadda On Rahul Gandhi: The Surat court has convicted Rahul Gandhi in the ‘Modi surname’ case. After the verdict, BJP has now accused Rahul Gandhi of insulting the OBC community. BJP chief JP Nadda has said that the Surat court has sentenced Rahul Gandhi for his objectionable statement towards the OBC community. But Rahul and the Congress party are still adamant on their statement due to arrogance and are hurting the sentiments of the OBC community." Nadda also said that the entire OBC community will take revenge for this insult from Rahul in a democratic manner.
BJP Chief JP Nadda wrote on Twitter, "Rahul Gandhi’s ego is very big and understanding is very small. For his political gains, he insulted the entire OBC community. Called him a thief. He also ignored the option of repeatedly explaining and apologizing by the society and the court and continuously hurt the sentiments of the OBC community."
‘Congress had to face the consequences’
In his next tweet, Nadda wrote, "…Then there was a hue and cry of ‘Chowkidar Chor Hai’, on which even the members of the Congress Working Committee objected according to media reports. On this slogan, the court of Janata Janardhan strongly reprimanded Rahul Gandhi in the 2019 elections and the Congress had to face a bad defeat."
‘…had to tender an unconditional apology’
Nadda targeted Rahul Gandhi by mentioning Rafale. He wrote on Twitter, "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has a habit of making fabricated allegations beyond facts. Before the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul tried to confuse the country in the name of Rafale. For which the Honorable Supreme Court reprimanded and Rahul Gandhi had to apologize unconditionally for the fabricated allegation."
In which case was Rahul punished?
The case was registered against Rahul Gandhi for his remarks in which he had allegedly said, "How come all thieves have the same surname as Modi?" Bharatiya Janata Party leader and MLA and former Gujarat minister Purnesh Modi had lodged a complaint against this remark of Rahul Gandhi. The Lok Sabha MP from Wayanad, Rahul Gandhi, made the alleged remark at a public meeting held in Kolar, Karnataka ahead of the 2019 general elections.
