Investigation tracking system launched for sex crimes
Ajay Kumar Mishra said that the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has launched the ‘National Database on Sex Offenders’ (NDSO) on September 20, 2018 to facilitate investigation and tracking of sex offenders across the country. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also launched the Investigation Tracking System for Sexual Offences, an online analytical tool to monitor and track timely investigations in cases of sexual harassment under the Criminal Law (Amendment) Act, 2018. He said that the Ministry of Home Affairs has taken steps to strengthen the DNA analysis units in the Central and State Forensic Science Laboratories (FSLs), including setting up a state-of-the-art DNA Analysis Unit in the Central Forensic Science.

Plan to give quick justice to victims< br />
Ajay Kumar Mishra said that in the year 2019-20 1023 fast track special including 389 Protection of Children from Sexual Offense (POCSO) courts. Rape and POCSO Act has been passed by the central government to establish courts to provide speedy justice. As of January 31, 2023, 764 Fast Track Special Courts including 411 other POCSO courts are functioning in 28 states and Union Territories.
