Mansukh Mandaviya Covid 19 Meeting: In view of increasing cases of Covid-19 in many states of the country, the central government is also on alert mode. Union Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya will chair a review meeting with health ministers of all states and union territories on Friday (April 7) to take stock of the COVID-19 situation.
< p style ="text-align: justify;"> Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will discuss the situation of Kovid-19 with the health ministers of the states. Officials of Health Department, NITI Aayog, NTAGI will also participate in this virtual meeting. Mansukh Mandaviya said on the situation of Kovid-19 that we need to be alert, but there is no need to panic. The sub-variant of Omicron currently in use in the country has not increased the number of hospitalisations.
More than 5 thousand cases were found in the country
The country has registered 5,335 new cases in the last 24 hours, which is almost 20 percent more than the cases reported on Wednesday, according to the data of the Union Health Ministry. These are the maximum number of daily cases reported in the last 195 days. Earlier on September 23 last year, 5,383 cases of corona were reported.
Cases on the rise
In the last few days, a steady increase is being registered in the Kovid-19 cases in the country. On April 1, 2,994 cases were found in the country, on April 2, 3,824 cases were reported. 3,641 cases were received on 3rd April and 3038 on 4th April. And on April 5, 4,435 cases were reported. At present, the number of active cases in the country has increased to 25,587.
Corona virus infection is being treated, which is 0.6 percent of the total cases. The national rate of recovery of patients is 98.75 percent. The daily rate of infection in the country is 3.32 percent and the weekly rate is 2.89 percent.
