New Delhi: Corona’s wrath is finally taking a break. Good news for the bereaved after 538 days. For the first time in India, at least 8,488 new cases of corona infection have been reported. This is the lowest number of cases reported in a single day in the last 538 days. The total number of cases in the country has come down to 3,45,18,901.
The number of active cases in the country has come down to 1,18,443 which is the lowest since March 2020. . These active cases make up 0.34 per cent of the total cases. The death toll from the corona has risen to 4,65,911 with 249 more deaths in the past 24 hours, according to figures released by the Union Ministry of Health on Monday morning.
National recovery from corona patients The rate is 98.31 percent. So far, 3,39,34,547 patients have recovered from the infection. The corona death rate is 1.35 percent. Meanwhile, more than 116.87 crore people in the country have been vaccinated against coronavirus. Now, less than 50,000 new cases have been reported every day for 148 consecutive days. The Union Ministry of Health said that more than 116 crore doses of Kovid-19 vaccine have been given so far under the nationwide vaccination campaign.
