Congress Press Conference: On Sunday (March 19) the Delhi Police team once again reached Congress MP Rahul Gandhi’s house with a new notice. Delhi Police has sought details of ‘sexually harassed’ women they allegedly met with Rahul Gandhi during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. A notice was sent to him in this matter earlier as well. Now the Congress has attacked the BJP in this matter. Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said, "Delhi Police had given notice to Rahul Gandhi on 16th, a list of questions was sent regarding one of his statements. Complete information of the victims was sought. Today, on 19th, the police squad arrived with a new notice.
He further said, "Today we told the Delhi Police that it is very strange that a new dimension has been created, of harassment, politics of vengeance and politics of intimidation."They said, "Coming so soon about the journey that lasted for 140 days. In this regard, we asked the Delhi Police that if this is not the politics of threats, then what is? Delhi Police has woken up after 45 days regarding the statement of Srinagar on 30th January. Woke up after so many days and reached within three days. They are in a hurry now."
‘Such politics has not been seen till date’
Congress leader said, "We condemn it. Will give a detailed answer adding all the facts and details, but condemn the level at which you have stooped to politics. You are trying to trouble people. You haven’t missed any limits. The whole country is watching. Haven’t seen this kind of politics till date."
‘Janata Party also did the same’
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said, "This would be happening for the first time in the history of India. It is impossible for the Delhi Police to take such courage without a signal from above. I strongly condemn it. Janata Party rule came during Indira’s time also, even then people indulged in such activities. The public had given a befitting reply. Indira’s government had come back. They have created havoc with ED, CBI. Where has democracy been and how will it remain? If someone says this thing, then why does it hurt? They are doing politics in the name of Hindu Muslim. Rahul Gandhi said, live with each other with love, what did he say wrong?"
