Asaduddin Owaisi On CM Yogi: AIMIM (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi targeted UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath (CM Yogi) for his statement on Sanatan Dharma. Owaisi said on Sunday (February 5) that it is regrettable that Yogi Adityanath said that our national religion is Sanatan Dharma. He said that our country accepts every religion and this is the beauty of the Constitution. It is regretful that Yogi Adityanath gave such a statement. In which book it is written that Sanatan is the national religion.
Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi further said that as long as there is a constitution made by Ambedkar, there cannot be any one religion in the country. Owaisi said, "You (Yogi Adityanath) have taken oath of the Constitution, then how can you promote Hindutva."
Akhilesh Yadav also targeted
The AIMIM chief also accused Samajwadi Party chief and former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav of not showing up when members of the Muslim community were attacked. Owaisi told Aaj Tak, "Akhilesh Yadav did not get as many Muslim votes in history as he got this time. Still BJP formed the government. Where is Akhilesh Yadav? Why is he not visible? The petrol pump of his own MLA has been broken." They said, "The Muslim community is on target and where is Akhilesh, why is he not visible."
What did CM Yogi say?
Earlier CM Yogi Adityanath had said that Sanatan Dharma is the national religion of India which should be respected by every citizen. The Chief Minister had said that if religious places were destroyed or desecrated in the past, a campaign should be launched to restore them on the lines of the Ram temple in Ayodhya. Chief Minister said, "Sanatan Dharma is the ‘National Religion’ of India. When we rise above selfishness, we join ‘National Religion’. When we join the national religion then our country is safe."
Ram Mandir mentioned
Chief Minister Yogi (CM Yogi) said, "If our religious places have been desecrated during any period, then on the lines of Ayodhya where the Prime Minister Narendra Modi a grand temple of Lord Rama is being constructed after 500 years, a campaign for its renovation should be launched. Representing the national spirit, all of you devotees have contributed in the construction of this grand temple of Lord Rama."
