Anthony Albanese India Visit: Australia’s Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has come on a four-day visit to India. Anthony Albanese arrived at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday (March 9) with PM Modi before the start of the fourth and final cricket test match between India and Australia. 1. Australian PM Anthony Albanese and PM Modi did a ‘lap of honour’ of the ground on the occasion of 75 years of friendship between the two countries before the start of the cricket test match between India and Australia. 7. Anthony Albanese said that we both depend on free and open access to sea lanes in the Indo-Pacific for our trade and economic well-being. We share an unwavering commitment to upholding the rules-based international order and ensuring that the Indo-Pacific is open, inclusive and prosperous.

8. He announced that later this year, Australia will host the ‘Malabar Exercise’ for the first time. While India will also participate in Australia’s ‘Talisman Sabre’ exercise for the first time in August.
