IMD Weather Update: North Western states of the country are going to get some relief from severe cold. India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Tuesday that there is no chance of cold wave in northwest India in the next five-six days. According to the Meteorological Department, there was an active Western Disturbance two days ago, which has brought rain and snowfall at most places in the Himalayan regions.

IMD scientist Dr Naresh told News The agency told ANI that we have received reports of 50 to 60 cm of snowfall. Rain has also occurred in the plains of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh and NCR of North West India. Now we hope that the western disturbance is gone. Cold wave conditions eased over some parts of North India on Sunday and Monday.

Mercury falls after rain

Met department said on Sunday After heavy rains in many parts of North Indian states on 10th, the mercury has dropped by two to three degrees Celsius in Delhi-NCR. IMD scientist Dr. Naresh said that northwesterly winds prevail at low level. As a result, the temperature at many places around North West India which is around 10 degrees is likely to drop by one to two degrees.

How will the temperature hold >

They said that a fresh western disturbance is approaching which is weak and will cause light snowfall only in higher Himalayan peaks. This affects the temperature of North West India, due to which after 48 hours the temperature may increase by two to three degrees in North West India. Talking about the temperature, Dr. Naresh said that the minimum temperature is likely to be 10 degrees while the maximum is 20 degrees in the coming days.
